24 Hour Part-Time Temporary
Residential Support Staff
KENTVILLE GROUP HOME
Available Immediately up to one year
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:

Certification in the seven core competencies
-
Two years relevant work experience (full time equivalency)
The Ideal Candidate will also have:
-
University Degree in Social Sciences or Diploma in the Human Services Field
-
Have knowledge and experience in successfully applying the principles and practices of Personal Outcome Measures
-
Have a high level of performance and experience supporting people who may be verbally and/or physically aggressive
Further Preference will be given to Applicants who:
-
Have experience in supporting people who have anxiety disorder, mood disorder, bi-polar disorder, ADHD and diabetes
-
Have experience in supporting people who require support with personal hygiene
-
Have experience or are able to create opportunities, motivate and support people to participate and develop/enhance their skills in activities of daily living
Applicant must have a valid drivers’ license as well as the use of a safe and reliable vehicle while on shift and be willing to travel.
Applicants must have a proven capacity to build relationships with residents, co-workers, family, other professional support networks and management.
Shifts include days, evenings, awake overnights, and weekends.
