  • As a general rule, CLAS initially hires Residential Support Staff on a casual basis, but once hired casual employees are able to compete for available full time or part time permanent positions.
  • CLAS is currently looking for casual employees for relief work.

Job Description Overview
– Under the direction of a supervisor and in accordance with CLAS’ mission statement, philosophies, policies and procedures, the residential support staff is responsible to assist in the effective operation of the program area and implementation of supports for the residents.  As a residential support staff you will be expected to work days, evenings, awake overnights, weekends, and holidays and at times on short notice.

Qualifications
– Preference will be given to applicants with a Community College Diploma in the Human Services Field or equivalent, current certification in Standard First Aid/CPR "C", Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and one year relevant work experience.  If contacted for an interview you will need to bring proof of your certification in Standard First Aid/CPR "C" with you to the interview.  Applicants must be willing to participate in further training.
